I reach a cross road, where some Nigerians throw away unchosen flowers, the ones they couldn't sell in the streets, that day. They say the leftovers are smaller roses, imported from Kenya. I take some. In the enveloping surface, this thin and transparent flower protection foil, one can read Uhuru Flowers.

Uhuru is the word for freedom in Swahili, as well it is the name of the African Internationalism movement, claiming freedom from western capitalism and Economic Imperialism. Uhuru is also the name of an American satellite launched from Africa.

Flowers wrapped in ideals. I end up with their foils.
